Drusilla Cole
Having graduated from Wimbledon School of Art and London's Central School of Art, Drusilla taught as Senior Lecturer at the University of the Arts, London (UAL) for over twenty-five years.
After taking early retirement, Drusilla moved to Bishops Castle, Shropshire, UK where she has extended her practice of printmaking by focusing on reduction Linocut printing.
Drusilla’s colourful reduction Linocuts of swimming-based scenes have become very popular and are exhibited locally and with selected galleries in the UK. Recently Drusilla has experimented with other printmaking techniques including Drypoint Etchings.
Pattern has long been an interest of Drusilla’s, and she has written several books on the subject.
These are: ‘1000 Patterns’, ‘Patterns’, ‘Textiles Now’ and ‘The Pattern Sourcebook’ and are widely available.
Kate Jones
Kate Jones is a textile designer creating luxuriously tactile and unique accessories and homewares by hand in her studio in Margate, Kent. It is her aim to combine natural ethical yarns and sustainable techniques with the concept of slow design and a modern aesthetic, carefully crafted to complement contemporary living.
With a commitment to quality, value, sustainability and zero waste, each unique design is individually crafted to stand the test of time, with minimal impact on the planet. Using carefully selected 100% natural yarns she works exclusively with hand-powered vintage knitting machinery to create each piece, before it is hand-sewn, hand-washed then naturally air-dried outdoors before being hand-finished with care.
Kate’s work is designed and crafted to be characterful, luxuriously textured and tactile, providing a timeless, long-lasting quality, with meticulous attention to detail, a strong sense of design and a colour palette inspired by the natural and organic forms of the Kent coastline where she lives.
Jane Littlefield
Jane’s work consists of stained glass panels that have multi – layered, painted glass images that are inspired by the Peak District, its nature, history and folklore.
"I use images of creatures, landscape features and organic motifs to create these glass panels."
The glass is hand painted using traditional stained glass paints and translucent enamels, often using many layers and textures, that are fired in the kiln.
They are assembled using lead and solder.
